Sep. 3 downloads of Aquí: 22. Much thanks to those of you who've downloaded Aquí - if you like it spread the word and let other people know about it. The upcoming 1.02 has got a lot of new features coming like camera support which makes getting it today for free a really great deal - when it comes out its price will be raised back to $0.99.

Yesterday (Sep. 1) showed 104 downloads of Aquí, with 53 of those coming from the US and 15 of them coming from Japan and the rest mostly from the Europe. Initial takeaway: I need to start localizing Aquí.

In anticipation of the 1.02 update, I've made the current version of Aquí available for free for a limited time until 1.02 is made available on the iPhone App Store. So far 260 downloads have been made since yesterday. I think it's great and would love to see it hit 1000 before the week is out. Have a friend who has an iPhone or iPod touch? Tell them to download Aquí today.

Hey I wrote an iPhone app!

This past May I made a shift and focused my energies on building an iPhone app because it seemed like a fun thing to do and because it seemed (and still does) like the only platform going on right now that has a chance of making money during these economic dog days. So I took the plunge and wrote Aquí, an app that lets you easily send your Google Maps location out to your friends via Twitter or Email. It was released on the iPhone App Store on July 2, 2009 and you can find out more about it at http://www.yummymelon.com.
